                       "get on the water"

We may recommend a Kayak or Canoe but there are a few questions you should consider first.

Purpose & Type

Where do you intend to paddle your kayak most of the time?? Small lakes?  Ocean or  Bay ? Creeks and rivers ? Anywhere and everywhere? How much time do you expect to spend kayaking on average? How far do you expect to travel in your kayak on average?

Length, Width & Stability

Choosing the right  Kayak  you have to consider the following:  longer and narrower, it becomes faster, more efficient, and easier to keep in a straight line. As a you choose a kayak that’s shorter and wider, it becomes slower, more stable, and easier to turn.

Obviously, length and width are not the only factors which affect kayak performance, but they do make the biggest impact. Here is another  rule to keep in mind: a kayak must gain a foot or two in length before there will be a noticeable difference in efficiency, speed, and stability. Notability the 14' or longer versions will handle "rougher" water situations better.

Other Uses

Kayak's have become ever increasingly popular  to those  who intend to use their kayaks for fishing , diving , playing in ocean surf, viewing wildlife , enjoying nature, paddling back country coves and rivers or just "getting on the water”.

Their obviously is more to cover based on usage so give us a call and we will do our best to make a recommendation that is right for you.
